Job Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for an Associate Systems Administrator who will be responsible for providing systems and application support across Visa Corporate systems environment. This position requires applying root cause operation break fixes and other proactive maintenance activities to keep the services up and running. Additionally, planning and incorporating automated solutions to solve recurring tasks and issues. This is a professional level position and requires strong execution and analytical abilities.

The successful candidate will be a member of the “Corporate Technology Support” team who is in charge in maintaining and ensuring that the Corporate Productivity Applications are running at the optimum level. The team is also in charge in administering the Windows and Linux server OS and its relevant components, hardware, and virtual based platform where most of the corporate applications are running. This team is also responsible on building and managing innovative solutions for employees to support self-service capabilities into managing numerous corporate use-cases and partnering with stakeholders and project managers to lead development of complex enterprise solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience
  • Experience with Windows server 2016/2019/Core and VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Automation using PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • SFTP, ftp, ssh, pgp, how to encrypt/decrypt, fileshare knowledge, directory structure, permissions, file properties – SMB, CIFS. Global Scape SFTP technology experience is a plus.
  • Virtualization (vSphere/Hyper-V).
  • System health performance, monitoring, tuning.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory OU, GPO.
  • Service Now - ticket creating, follow ups.
  • Knowledge of ITIL process.
  • Understanding about Jump Servers / Bastion
  • Good problem-solving skills with focus on troubleshooting issues in complex production environments.
  • Willing to learn new technologies and software, thinking out of the box, questioning the norm and innovative.
  • Exhibits a strong commitment to execution, follow through and timely communication. A good team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a global environment
  • The candidate will be heavily involved in ensuring they meet all SLA's and objectives.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
